8 lbs 3 oz 21 inches and his daddy's hair line! Jackson Alexander Kendrick was born January 29, 2012. Sorry it took so long to get this updated, we were a little distracted. It was around 1:30 am Sunday morning when Anya's water broke. We weren't sure at first, but it didn't take long until Anya was convinced and we went in. I'll let Anya give more details about the labor process if she wants to, but long story short, Jackson didn't like contractions. His heart rate would drop sharply with each contraction, to the point that nurses were coming in every 10-15 mins to move Anya around to see if it would help. Eventually the doctor came in and did his magic, pulled out his salad tongs and pulled the little guy out. Dark brown hair, yelling at everyone, and thumbnails that could gouge your eyes out, Jackson made his big debut.

Since then we've just been hanging out. He sleeps relatively well as long as we time feedings right. He's only thrown a couple fits that we couldn't figure out why. Most of the time he just cries for a min and then calms down.

Here's a short little clip that grandma took, just kicking around. Watch his eyes when he talks the first time, he surprises himself. Then he does it again now that he knows he can.
Congratulations! He is adorable. Both of our girls watched the video clip several times admiring his cuteness. Hope you are enjoying this special time and getting as much sleep as possible.
